Welcoming a baby into your life is a journey filled with love, excitement, and significant changes. For many parents, this period can also bring unexpected mood shifts and challenges. If you’re navigating these emotions, you’re not alone.
The After Baby Group is a free in-person support group designed to help parents who experience mood changes after the birth of a baby.
It starts Monday, January 13th, and the group will run weekly until March 3rd, from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Orillia EarlyON Child and Family Centre (250 West St. N., Orillia, Unit 2).
Why Join the After Baby Group?
Parenthood is a unique experience, and each parent’s journey is different. This group is an opportunity to:
- Connect with Others: Meet other parents who understand and share similar experiences.
- Build Coping Skills: Learn strategies to navigate difficult emotions and develop resilience.
- Discuss Relationships: Explore how becoming a parent can affect your relationships and how to manage these changes.
- Focus on Self-Care: Gain tools to take care of your mental health while balancing the demands of parenting.
Accessibility and Child Monitoring
All babies are welcome to attend with their parents. We understand that finding childcare for older children can be challenging. That’s why limited free child monitoring is available for walking children during the sessions, allowing you the space to focus on your well-being.
